About Us

Hancock Waste Services Inc., formerly known as McManaway Sanitation, began as Tom's Trash Pick-Up in 1988. We've been the 2nd generation owners since 2016. Everyone knows us by McManaway and it might take a little time to adjust, but change was needed since we offer a few services. You can refer to us as Hancock Waste - HWS. Our name gives credit to the county that has supported the business from the beginning.

Our quality of service will always be there for you. Nick and Genie McManaway own the local mom-and-pop solid waste business that offers residential service to Hancock County and northern Ohio County, Ky.

Operating with proper solid waste equipment has always been highly important to us. Offering the 13 yard Roll-Offs to surrounding counties was a huge milestone to achieve. Very soon 4 yard dumpsters will be available. That is just what we've accomplished, there is more to come! We thank you for your support & love our local community!
